About Dr. Okawa
Allisyn Okawa is a board certified Plastic Surgeon and a fellowship trained Hand Surgeon who is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery. She has been providing first class care to patients in Northern Utah for the past 20 years in plastic reconstructive surgery, plastic cosmetic surgery and hand surgery. She has served on several local hospital committee boards and has been an officer of the Utah Plastic Surgery Society.
Her main professional interests are surgery of the breast for enhancement, reduction and reconstruction and surgery of the hand for carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, trauma and Workman’s Compensation injuries. She also has expertise in surgical and nonsurgical techniques for cosmetic rejuvenation of the face and body.
Dr. Okawa is a native of Utah and graduated from the University of Utah, Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. She graduated from the University of Utah medical school and went on to complete residencies in General Surgery at the University of Arizona and Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. She then completed a Hand Surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California.
She enjoys the fine arts and her hobbies are cooking, sewing, drawing, stained glass making, music and scuba diving. She loves foreign travel and loves spending time with her husband and son.
